This is an email I got at work. I work for the state (medical university) and I am a grant employee so...yippie!
As you may know, May 10 [Confederate Memorial Day] has been designated as an official state holiday.
All employees who occupy FTE positions or grant positions are entitled to
take this holiday. Cell Biology and Anatomy employees have the option of
taking the holiday on Wednesday or working that day and taking 8 hours at a
later time (please check with your immediate supervisor for arrangements).
