I have a 3 computer home network P500, P333 and laptop. In the last week the transfer rate between the P333 and the other two has dropped to a crawl. Laptop to P500 is OK.

I am using peer to peer all on Win98. Protocols have not changed - I can only assume that some rogue proram has altered Network settings (But I can't see any change in Control Panel)

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

TIA

Ian

if you have a common protocol between all
the computers ie., either ipx/spx or netbeui
try and run NET DIAG from a dos prompt..
choose one machine to be the server and one
to be the client (choice is arbitary)..
at the dos prompt type NET DIAG then enter
for the results page see http://www.linksys.com/support/solutions/
netdiag.htm

also check in control panel network and
check the properties on the NIC on each
machine..some of the NIC'S have softwear
selections and you can tweek them..
maybe on your machines something go changed..

good luck
