Check the Consumer Report--they have an excellent review on cd recorders and rewritable. They reviewed Yamaha, Plextor, Hp, Philips, Panasonic and a few more. Personally I owned two cdrecorders (Hp 7200i and Mitusmi) both are Ide. Whatever is your choice, make sure it includes the Easy Creator from Adaptec. It is the best value. Roy 05-23-1999, 03:39 AM Yamaha comes highly recommended by local computer guru. reboot 05-26-1999, 04:57 PM May 99 "Maximum PC" mag rates the Plextor PlexWriter 8/20 a 10. It's a CD-R. This is SCSI interface, and comes with the controller card and some of the best software around. They also rate the HP CD-Writer Plus 8100i a 9. This is EIDE interface. It's a CD-RW.
