Help! Building my first system

I am building my first computer using the following components:

Asus P2B-L motherboard
Pentium III 600 processor
AAvid heatsink
Antec case w/250W pwr supply
Two Seagate 8.4GB HD
Sony 3.5" floppy
Toshiba CD ROM drive
Plextor CD-RW drive


Problem; Upon boot, I get the following error message:


"Disk Boot Failure,Insert System Disk, Press Enter"

and


"Floppy Drive Failure"

Also displaying:


Found: Toshiba CD-ROM

Found: Plextor CD-RW


I have changed the boot drive order, double-checked BIOS & CMOS
settings, drive jumpers & cable connections. I have tried loading CD Rom drivers, Windows 98 (to acquire DOS) and the Asus Motherboard CD- all unsuccessfully.


Can anyone make any suggestions?

UPDATE: I don't know how to partition the drives without using Fdisk and DOS, nor any other data is resident in the system yet.

I think that you have to be in the 'Technical support' section of Sysopt with that question, you will get more responses over there than inhere.
My guess is that one of the moderators will transfer that question to technical support.
