I had a modem in com2-removed it, then put it back com 2 is gone..???

I removed the modem as i got a cable modem. Well, i figured i needed a fax devise, so i reinstalled it. Now com port2 is gone?? What gives? Can i reinstall it? Thanks!

Sure you can reinstall a com port..
First try add new hardware. If this does not work try add new hardwre again then chose no do not detect ( or something ) them manually add the com port.
