Win98 FAT 32 and Win95 ???

I have just added two pc's to a peer to peer network of 5 machines. The 2 new pc's are Win 98 FAT 32, the existing pc's are Win 95, not Fat 32. Will I have any problems sharing files from the older machines to the new ones?? Should I convert the old machines to FAT 32 now?? I have not seen any problems yet but I guess I would like to avoid any if possible. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I don't think your going to run into any problems. It shouldn't make a difference.

I have recently run into problems with FAT32 and FAT16 in a perticular case. If you create an archive of any kind on the Fat32 volume and then transfer it to the Fat16 volume I wouldn't be surprised if you get CRC (cyclic redundency check) errors. If you transfer things like executables, text files, etc they should be ok.

really? simple zip files and copying them across the network with windows explorer?

i guess you could work around it using ftp, but that would be a pain in the ****.

Kwai--> I've had problems with .zip files originally made on Fat32 that were greater than 1mb and then transfered to fat16. Those get corrupted about 90% of the time. With other compressions like .rar and .ace expect 100% corrupt. Yes, using FTP to transfer files does not corrupt them.
