Here's the deal. I need a standalone wireless LAN access point or something to that effect. I need to connect a remote PC to a LAN that is about 200 ft away (through some concrete). The end the connects to the network should be standalone (just plug in to the hub sitting there), and the PC can just use whatever ISA/PCI card or a standalone box, if necessary.
The primary need is price, not speed. I'd heavily prefer to pay less than 500 bux, but I'm doubting that will happen. If it has the range and can churn out at least 200 kbps or so, that'd be enough. For the most part, I'm only planning on this for net access... though the far end does have T1 access. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
Any thoughts or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,
Joel
