Hi,
I am trying to connect just two computers using the cable that looks like phone wire (forget whats it's called). Do I need a hub for this to work?
Thanx, TkT
If you are only planning on connecting TWO computers together, you can connect them directly to each other by using a Cross-over cable. To connect any more than two computers to each other, you will need a hub. I have a txt file with the wiring diagram for a regular cable and a crossover cable. Send me a e-mail if you want a copy of this txt file, I would post it here but the formatting will get screwed up.

If your going to use a cross-over cable, it's a lot easier to just order the thing (not very expensive) from Tech America www.techam.com (http://www.techam.com)
