Just asking, but, why are you changing to a different motherboard?
And for the case, I'd look for a full tower Antec or Enermax. I say a full tower so you will have more airflow inside the case, and all the powercables and ribbon cables won't be bunched together.
Make sure you get at least a 300w power supply with the case.
Rate about a 9. Would of given you a 10, but you changed motherboards. Or even if you decided to go with the Abit KG7, I would of given you a 10.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with the K7Master, just wondering your reason for changing.
I haven't seen any reviews on that board either. Of course thats just me. Someone else may have though.

well the Abit KG7 isnt out yet either..
the k7 master is out i believe, anyways thats the board im planning on using. Unless there is better, the k7 master just had the options that i was looking for, lots of ram ddr, i dont know just sounded good.. if there is any one out there who knows where to get this board, please post a reply as to where you got it and how much it was,, thanx
I use Windows 2000 Pro for gaming and it runs much better than 98(all) and Me... 'nuff said.

Great setup! I'll give it a 8/10. I will make a perfect 10 if you get rid of the Western Digital hdd. Get something like a Maxtor, IBM, or better yet, a Quntaum!

I Have a k7 master. I found reviews on http://www.hardocp.com/reviews/mainboards/msi/k7master/
I bought 1 and put a 1.2ghz athlon on it with a geforce2 gts video card. It does every thing I wanted it to do until I tried to reseat the hsf. I chipped the cpu. and killed it. be very careful seatting your hsf.
it will be very close to the pwr supp. suggest you may want to remove the pwr sup before seatting it.
board is very stable
my cpu was running stable at 70 deg C
I was trying to bring down that temp when I chipped the cpu.

That system sounds SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!
i give it a 8 or 9/10. Since you're going all the way with this expensive setup, I think you should get the ibm deskstar 40 gig. Toms hardware said the 75 gxp is the best 7200 rpm ide hdd out there. i heard the k7 master is really good. wut sound card r u getting? If u want a good case, get a silver one. They look tite! I think computer fashion is the new trend!

I just bought the KG7-RAID since it's out, and i would give you 10/10 if you used the abit board. It's a good board, very stable, i run Win2kPro, too. Looking heavily at XP thou. Go with the IBM 40GB, or better yet, buy 2 or 4 and get a very nice RAID array going. I woiuld recommend the Elsa Gladiac 920 if you aren't going to overclock the video, it is THE BEST GF3 on the maket, the gainward just so happens to overclock better.
As it is 8/10. Look at Addtronics big one... the 6890 or something.

Looks like a nice setup. As for the case, I'm partial to Antec cases. Enlight also makes a good case.

Nice indeed, but if you want to overclock an AMD cpu, how are you going to cool it? A good heatsink and fan can make the difference between overclocking it and having it oc'ed and stable. However nothing works like water, except liquid nitrogen or something like that.

Hi there, that rig sounds pretty good to me. Have you already got it set up? Or are you going to set it up?
I'd say, as much as powerful the rig is, it won't be good if you're getting BSODs or IRQ routing problems. Make sure you configure and troubleshoot it completely.
Meanwhile I'll give it a 7. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
