My computer took a turn for the worse so I replaced pretty much everything. But now when I hit power it starts to go but nothing comes on the screen. I've tried different video cards but nothing. Also it the reset button doesn't do anything or the power after it's on. I have to unplug it to turn it off.

Abit BE6-II mobo
PIII 650 (accidentally socket 370)
IWill Slotkit II which does support my chip (have tried all different jumper settings)
Enlight 7237 Case w/ 300 watt power supply

I don't know what else to mention that might be of signifiance. Oh yeah I did take the mobo back to the place I got it from and they put in different CPU's and memery and it came up. I also got new memroy (Apacer).

I'm going to try differen CPU's in it now but does anyone have any clue what it might be? Or someohting you need for more information. PLEASE HELP!!! I've been dealing witht his for months, repalcing this replacing that...

Thanks
Sorry for cross-posting, I just need help!

you might want to visit Abit's site and get the latest BIOS flash. With a P600 there's a change that an unflashed mobo has problems recognising the speed. my BX6-2 only recognised up to around 500MHz before a flash.
just a thought.

Also ATX mobos are designed to stop you using the power button when the system is active. try holding it in for 5 seconds, with any luck it should power down...

if there are problems with detecting the CPU, this may explain why the reset buton doesn't work, but if you have done a recent assembly, it may be worth checking you've connected the headers properly...

Please, no multiple posting.

It diminishes troubleshooting support and causes frustration to those who reply to only see the same thread in another forum.

Thanks, U-96, feel free to c&p your response here if you so wish.
