I THINK I've worked the bugs out. The problem started when some processes got out of control on the server and sucked up all the disk space. Then, when someone tried to register, the BBS tried to write their info to the members file but the write failed and the members file was deleted. I then had to write a script to rebuild the file from about 2,300 files that contain the user profiles, passwords, etc., which I did last night.
But apparently this morning some people couldn't log in and had to reregister. Problem is, the system was assigning the same ID# to all of the new registrations, and getting really confused.
I think I've fixed the problem. Cmonster, BBA, and a few others who had to register again today will have to reregister (sorry) but it should work now. If it doesn't, please let me know ASAP.
Thanks,
Scott
