You're quoting in pounds so I assume ur in the UK. Hmmmm...............

I dont know if you can get it yet in UK, as that it is very new, but the ECS K7S5A is only $65 in US (what is that like 85 pounds?)
so atleast its cheap.

If you're really into overclocking, don't get this board though.

If you do the research, you will find that ECS had a reputation of being a "cheap" product. This comes from this company taking too many short cuts to make the product sell for less than anyone else. As for me, I would not recommend this product, not until they have proven to be a better product developer than they have been.

As far as any recommendations for you, I will like to say the Epox line of newer mobo's are excellent choices. The 8K7A, $125.00 has the AMD761 chipset, (top dog at this time) the 8KHA KT266 (new version) is a great quality product. Both these mobo's are extremely easy to setup. Performance is outstanding, OC'ing ability is also outstanding. (the best in the industry) for now. I do not believe you will go wrong with either of these mobo's. These mobo's will cost you $125.00 and $100.00, either are great buys.

I keep reading posts about the ECS K7S5A and everyone is having problems getting a 1.4 T-bird to run on them. I have an Epox board and am very happy with it.

It also appears that either they don't like to reply to technical support e-mails or they're just too busy...

Actually, I built a dual P3 800Mhz on an ECS D6VAA for my brother-in-law and it's running flawlessly. I haven't had the need to e-mail tech support, yet! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
