I INSTALLED A DOS PROGRAM ON MY COMPUTER.IT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE ANY CHARACTERS. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE BIOS. I CHECKED WITH SEVERAL COMPUTER TECHS BUT NOBODY CAN HELP ME.I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT TH COMPANY. MY COMPUTER IS A COMPAQ PRESARIO. WE CALLED THE COMPANY AND WERE TOLD THAT THEY CANT HELP US.I HAVE WINDOWS 98 INSTALLED. IS THERE ANYTHING IN WINDOWS THAT WONT LET ME RUN THIS DOS PROGRAM. MY COMPUTER IS ABOUT ONE YEAR OLD AND MY DOS PROGRAM ABOUT TEN. COULD THIS BE THE PROBLEM. I REALLY NEED HELP WITH THIS. THANK YOU, LIZ

I am a little confused as to what you are trying to run. Tech support people are unfortunately in the business of helping you unless it is with their software. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif But we can give it a try. What program is it that you are trying to run? Are you thinking that a setting in the BIOS is incorrect for you to run this software?

I am not sure if it is a BIOS problem. Depending on the situation, this post may be better suited in the Tech Support forum. I will move it there, where it will get alot more exposure to people who may be able to help.
