When I was drinking that was my beer of choice(Molson Ice).
I liked that commercial.
I think it's cool and can't see why anyone would think its knocking the US.

I thought it was funny. Pro-Canadian, but not anti-American. Those who think it is anti-American need to quit whining they are embarassing themselves.

As I sit here with my Molsten Golden (SERIOUSLY! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif) I find it pretty funny. The only qualm I have with it is that it says it is the first country of hockey. When was the last time Canada won a cup or a gold medal? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
I sent that add to a guy in my lab who is from Montreal. He embodies everything this commercial says. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Doh! darn keyboard...yeah...

Well, they just won the women's gold. Um, hmm...that counts right?...I think. Hmm. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
If you think about Canada only haveing around 30 million people you can maybe start to see where that statement comes from. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
Canadian beer, mmmmm. All I got in the fridge is corona right now...but I havn't any limes. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
in Canada we call it a medal not a metal....cause I AM CANADIAN...look at history - we have won the 72 series, 76 series, 84 series, 87 series, 91 series ... do i need to say more... and our juniors, have won at least 5 of the last 8 years....I use a napkin, not a serviette... I put vinegar on my fries not catsup...(we spell it ketchup really) .... I spell it colour not color....I know what a bloody ceasar is....I watch Mr. Dressup not Mr. Rogers...I know that an hour has only 22 minutes....the CN Tower is the largest free standing structue in the world....and we all don't say eh, eh
I AM CANADIAN
Thank you! I've been looking all over the place for that site. Anyone have an MP3 of it yet? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
Oh and ytay, a lot of us do say "eh" an awful lot... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

An hour has 22 minutes? And I was just kidding about that hockey anyways. It is truly Canada's sport which unfortunately is being killed by the US b/c of the big markets and dwindling interest. Canada will win one again... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
Yeah, I was wondering about that 22min. thing too...and I'm Canadian. I know there's some tv show, "This hour has 22 minutes"....Hmmm.
As for "eh"...some do, and it annoys me to death!
I have ketchup on my fries, spell it colour, a bloody ceaser is a bloody mary, I watched Mr. Rogers, Mr. Dress-up is scary. The CN tower is 1815 ft tall...the Petronas Towers are 1482 ft....and there's two of them.
Its a beer commersial, it shouldn't be defineing anyones nationality. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Great site ytay! Anti-US'en? Pffttt. It's just proclaiming that we are different and unique. One thing we are known for is our comedy. This Hour Has 22 Minutes is a great show along with Red Green, Air Farce and who could forget Bob & Doug McKenzie and all the other great comedic talent that we contributed to Sat. Night Live in it's heyday. We are just funny people.
And music, well we excell there too but we'll never admit to producing Celine.
Wear the flag proudy fellow beavers.

Hey ytay, did you know that Mr. Dress Up aka Ernie Coombs, was an American,(we won't hold it against him) who worked with Fred Rogers. Can you say that boys and girls?

Is it knocking America? Of course, that's why it's funny. It's always funny when we poke fun at ourselves, especially sterotypes.

"....I could proudly saw my country's flag on my back pack..."
Ok I admint it is shooting americans down, but in reality its not! I travel to at least 5 differnet countries every year, and if it wasn't for the fact that I am canadian, I think that I would alredy b dead!
I was born and raised in the usa, but Canadianized at the age of 9, and perhaps the greatest thing that ever happened to me!
I LOVE CANADA, and Dam proud 2 b canadian.
Ps: I was afraid to saw the USA flag on my backpack in diff countries. They treat u very different when you have it.
(Wonder why)!
pss:
JOE, if he was american.... well he is proud 2 b canadian nOW!

Here's another Canadian/American Joke type thing...I doubt it's true, but it's funny.
Americans: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the North to avoid a collision.
Canadians: Recommend you divert YOUR course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.
Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.
Canadians: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.
Americans: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS LINCOLN, THE SECOND LARGEST SHIP IN THE UNITED STATES' ATLANTIC FLEET. WE ARE CCOMPANIED BY THREE DESTROYERS, THREE CRUISERS AND NUMEROUS SUPPORT VESSELS. I DEMAND THAT YOU CHANGE YOUR COURSE 15 DEGREES NORTH, THAT'S ONE FIVE DEGREES NORTH, OR COUNTER-MEASURES WILL BE UNDERTAKEN TO NSURE THE SAFETY OF THIS SHIP.
Canadians: We're a lighthouse. Your call.
seti, i was just about to post that!! Dont you love stileproject.co? =] That place is very, well, interesting.
Ha, well actully I just got that in my e-mail...never been to that site. My geography teacher in grade 10 told me that one too.
