I have this board and its pretty cool. I have had 2 problems with it. Nothing that cannot be solved by some of the wise ones on these message boards.

Problem #1 If I shut down the pc then try to restart it backup, it will not load the OS. The HDD light just stays on. I have to leave it alone for about 30-50 minutes before I can restart. How do I resolve this? I have the powerup function set to start on keyboard. Maybe I should change to power button instead????

Problem #2 I cannot flash the BIOS with the latest update(that probably allows for FSB and/or multiplier manipulation). I have created a DOS disk first by formatting in Windows (98SE - Copy systems file choice). Then i download the files to the floppy and unzip the new BIOS into the floppy. When I reboot, it comes up not finding boot record from the floppy. What the heck is wrong!?!?!?!?!

Somebody please help. I have been banging my head against the wall trying to figure this out.

I can't be of any help, but I would like to parasite on to your thread. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

I don't think its a problem w/ the keyboard power on, I think its a problem w/ power on PERIOD.

Let me explain; after I start up my system (w/ power button), that same power button will do NOTHING when I press it to turn computer off.

Unlike you, I havent even been successful at loading an OS. BIOS detects my floppy and CD-RW but says "please insert system disk" when either the boot floppy or Windows CD is in their respective drives. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

You can try switching power on to your switch, but I'm betting it doesnt work. I REALLY DO HOPE that someone will prove me wrong so i can finally use the **** thing.
