The whole web has been slow for me today so I don't know if SysOpt is more than usual or not but I'll give a heads up to our network folks.

seems ok to me. and I've got 3 windows open. plus sysopt all the time. with outlook 2000 and all the extras in my sys. tray.
not to be a smarta** here. but, when I find my system slowing down. I do a complete clean of cookies, history, internet files from the programs. and than go into the o/s and do a real delete job ect.
For me its slow on start up. I'm on T1 LAN

Rookie: Yes, indubitably.
It is a bit slow today. It took 2 full minutes to load the general discussion forum, which is a tad sluggish. ahhh well, you deal with whatcha got. =]

I still don't understand it. from my startpage. I click on sysopt in my links page. and start stopwatch at the same time I click on sysopt. 15 sec. to load sysopt/go to gen. disc. and open it up. it must be the traffic in your area. or something pulling you down. I get a perfect 48.0 kbsp on a 56 k modem.
maybe I should stick with 56 k and leave the others alone instead of changeing over.
mark one up for the old 56k's for a change.

Just installed Netscape 4.7 off disc this time, hoping to cure a few problems. Pages seem to load fine, same as usual here http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I'm on a T-1 and not prone to the typical slow-downs encountered by the home user - but the board is CCCCCRRRRAAAAWWWWLLLLing for me today - Anything we should know about social-gal?

I feel the same way.
This afternoon, it took me around 5 minutes to get into general discussion.
And I have cable connection.
I know there are faster connections, but 5 minutes, common.
That is more on 14k4 speed.
Anyway, it is running fine now, so everything is well.

the government is in cahootz with big business.

I keep deleting it in dos and it keeps coming back?
