I run the iPanel in my tray as I like to monitor the temps (52ºc idle). That's not the problem though. Every once in awhile - 3-4 hours - it pops up with an alarm. The voltage pegs out. It's set @ 12, 5, and 3.3. The top voltage spikes and then recovers. Usually it's that one but every so often the 3.3 drops and recovers all in a few seconds time. It hasn't crashed or locked me up, or even effected the system.

It has happened just being online, or Excel, or a few other programs - not more than one running at a time - so I doubt its from me pushing it.

Here's the specs:

1.3 Athalon
A7A266
256 PC133 SDRAM
40 Gig WD 7200
BIOS 1004
52ºc normal
Win 2000

If someone else is having the same thing happen, please let me know. I'm not overly concerned with how I built the system - its GREAT.

My big concern is that I usually have 3 boxes going at any one time. About two months ago, the circut breaker kept flipping. After I flipped (REALLY flipped), we had an electrcian come in. All of the outlets were wired backwards in the house when it was built and I was sharing the same circut with half the house (about 5 rooms). I had him run my computer room to 220 on a seprate circut (and rewire about 40 other outlets/switches). Do I need to start thinking its the wiring again and NOT my computer?

Dunno. Any comments would be helpful.

I have the exact same problem with that program using the A7A266... The 3.3 drops and I get an alarm. I too have not had any system crashes when this happens. I don't really use PC-Probe that much anymore becuase of it. But what you can do is set the threshold to a higher percentage to avoid the alarm, just don't set it too high though.

I did do that for my temps, originally. I kinda hate to do it tho- 'cuz I figure DEFAULTS. But, like ya said, it isn't bothering the system, so what the hey!

I was more concerned with the actal wiring of the house but if you have had the same problem.....well, I guess I'll live with it.

BTW, hows the temps goin'?

My temps are a little to warm for my tasts... I'm at like 135 during idle, I ordered a new delta fan with heatsink but haven't received it yet, so i'll see how that goes.

Ramon - good luck!

As for the voltage, I'm gonna get the 'rectrician back here to check out the house. I don't use a UPS but I've gotta killer surge protector on this system. Weird.
