It appears Epox got wise to what was going on as the new bios for the 8K7A+ has the phoenix big brother **** turned off.

Just flashed today. And may I say that this bios is the best I've used by far. Totally whacks my asus bios. Everything is so much easier. It even has a command to flash right there. I'm going to be buying only Epox boards from now on. I can't say enough good things about it. And it looks like their the only ones that listened to the public and got rid of the phonix bios. And they did it very quickly also. That speaks alot about their commitment to deliver us what we want. Good job Epox. Ygor 07-27-2001, 05:44 AM Epox is not the only one! My Iwill KK266 has that bios, but the phone home "feature" was disabled at startup and has not turned itself on yet. My guess is Iwill allowed it to be there, but there is either a grace period for it to work or it must be enabled separately/specifically. otheos 07-27-2001, 05:45 AM I have to agree with Camaro, Epox is one of the few (if not the only one) companies that has an active feedback system What the users want, the users get. I have used their boards in the past and have only good things to say about them. Eventhough I am quite happy withe my Asus board now, I am sure I will go Epox next time (yet again). Bravo Epox!
