I use the Win2k. When i get into dos, using the boot disk, I have some problems. I get into the flash utility and I type in the bios name and the backup file name. It tries to update but it does not do anything. Am i using the wrong thing? Please help.
Hmmmm. Yes, obviously, you're doing somethng wrong since it's not updating. Are you geting the Flash Utility screen? First thing it asks you is to type in the name of BIOS update file with the extension. After you type that in and hit <ENTER>, it asks you if you want to backup the current BIOS before the update. And then you should see a block meter progress bar... Are you seeing these stages in the BIOS update?

I did what they said and I get a screen that says Now backup system bios to file!
