SD Surrea1 07-25-2001, 02:57 PM I think what is being asked is if there is a program that can display the bios and change its settings while in windows. *edited* But if you're trying to just get into the bios, hitting delete, F2, or other keys will get you in. Usually it is displayed at the bottom of the screen "push F2 for setup" or "Push del for setup" [This message has been edited by Surrea1 (edited 07-25-2001).] RickFlack 07-25-2001, 03:23 PM Thanks for the input. What I am really looking for is a program that will just display the data, not make any changes. This info is needed to see what version, manufacturer, date, etc., so I can see about a flash BIOS upgrade or whatever. I know about some of the data being displayed at boot, but what if you miss that? Again, I appreciate all of your help. Rick rlpos 07-25-2001, 07:29 PM Yea there is . The problem is I cant remember the name . I found it through a post on this site several months ago and downloaded it. Now I am sure I have it burnt on a cd somewhere and when I find it I will post the link Buji 07-25-2001, 07:57 PM Check out Ct Bios at: http://www.unicore.com/techsupport/mrbios/mrbutils.htm http://www.unicore.com/bioswiz/index2.html RickFlack 07-25-2001, 08:41 PM Thanks! That is exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate everyone's help. Rick RickFlack 07-26-2001, 12:55 AM Is there a shareware/freeware program out there that will allow me to display BIOS data (date, type, ID string, chipset, etc)? I have used debug and the Win Registry to find some of this data, but a dedicated program would sure be nice. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Rick Portland, OR SysOpt.com
