CUSL2 BIOS UPDATE

Hello, could somone kindly tell me if I should update my BIOS - currently
v1001A ? And how can I make certain which update to use - that is with
sound or without sound ?
If I remember correctly my MOBO did not come with the sound chip - but
how do I make certain that is the case? I had a sound card installed
during the system building process last Aug 2000 - Sound Blaster Live
Value.
I see the update is for Mar.2001 v.1006a- what has changed? since Aug 2000.
There is little info at the ASUS site about version history and their tech support is virtually non-existant or I am looking in the wrong places?
My system seems fine right now - and yes I know that " if it aint broke
don't fix it" but?? I need to know what they have done since v.1001a.
Any help would be appreciated!

if you really want to know id call asus.
ive talked to them before. it might be a bit expensive but worth it.

if your system is stable, dont bother. ive done a few with no problems as well.
i actually flashed the bios on my vid card and wasnt able to overclock after that. kinda ridiculous. good luck.

Thx S.D., I was kinda hoping for someone that has done the BIOS update, to the CUSL2, would be willing to spare a few keystokes evaluating the upgrade. I myself have a sheer dislike for paid support for I product I paid for just last year!!

That's unreal, thx EastSt for the link. Not a freakin piece of info that I can sink my teeth into?? Every reference to the CUSL2 bios mentions that there is no info about it??
I find it utterly amazing that these people can exist with such a POOR customer relations situation - regadless of their market share or board quality!!

Hey Jaago try using the tweaked CUSL2 bios.

It will keep 4x's agp and your memory scores will be higher.

Thx RAID, unfortunately this ASUS support issue has me real P***ED OFF!
ASUSBOARDS.COM is also a waste of my time since nobody over there or here knows much about whats happening to their CUSL2 BIOS's It's like the blind leading the blind. This whilly nilly beta testing is not the way I do things. And next time I build a new system ASUS aint gonna be there!!
I AINT NO **** TEST PILOT. GIMME SUMTIN THAT HAS SOME HAIR ON IT!!

Now that I've had my RANT I feel a lot better thank you all for trying to HELP.
