Mouse lag with networking.. on Athlon 1.333GHZ?

My system is now about 85% stable which seems about normal for a AMD setup.
My new concern may be un-cpu related. When I access the net via DSL my mouse "lags" behind and "sticks". Is this an irq sharing problem or something?


Is there a way to cure this? The networking can't be so intensive (web browsing) as to slow a Athlon 1.333GHz's response to the mouse?

Any help is appreciated.
