Notice the additional button on the lower right of the message post screen, "Spell Check". After you type your message, hit that button, and a window will pop-up. If you see any words highlighted, they are possibly misspelled - click on one. Find the right word at the bottom of the window and hit "change to", and the replacement will be made. You can also use the grammar check function or thesaurus in the same manner.

After you're done making changes in the popup window, hit the finished checking button, and your changes will be applied to the sysopt message editing window.

Enjoy!

Thx Scott it's a fabulous addition to an extremely momentous forum your dedication to meeting the members needs is gratefully appreciated.

Now can we have a thesaurus cause thinking up those big words nearly killed me. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Edit - Grrrrr i just ran the spell check and he already thought of it.
Edit again - i thought i was the first to say thx then three more pop up in front of me http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif must have spent too long thinking up the long words.

When ever I click spell check the new window comes up and it show everything fine, then explorer locks up. I have to three finger salute to close the window. What is wrong with my browser.

Thats great Scott, Thanks!
I don't know about you guys but the minute I finished school, spelling went out the window. There's nothing worse then typing something and then forgetting the spelling of a word that you KNOW.

hehe nice addition, but hopefully it won't be used too much - some members have a distinctive style, and it would a shame to lose that...

Any way we can get set up like Ars and have two areas that say, replies and times viewed in regards to posts? That is one of the neater ideas I have seen on another bbs.
Thanks Scott

Well, well, well...we're moving up in the world, aren't we! Not to be egotistical, but I think I'm partly responsible for this change in the BBS. My thread pointed out something I'm sure all of u have noticed, most of u voiced your opinion in the thread, and now we have something to show for it!

Thanks SysOpt for the added feature, looks great so far!

Great Scott, thanks! It might come into handy sometime!(since my primary language is Dutch and I'm only 17).Won't be needing the dictionary anymore (not that I ever did).

I already noticed that it doesn't recognize words starting with overclock.I get words like overcook and overcooked.LOL http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/biggrin.gif .It doesn't have probs with http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif though.

Aaawwah,, Mann. I miss the days when folks didn't care how "spelling" looked. The message is what was important.. In Dec, Myself and some others went on a snob-nosed ditty pretending to be real smart, but some took us too serious and now everyone is like TOO polite, makes me a little nauseous. I liked the posts like "Man, u 2, i had 4 ipf's and a doz bsod's just todae. dis Compulock iz gwin to a dumpstah.. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gifDrVette
