Do me a favor and go into your device manager and under System devices check the properties of your IO read data port for ISA plug and play and check the resource tab and see if you have a resource conflict, If your resource window is blank, click on the configueration button and see if you show a resource conflict.
Please reply with your results.

Yes it does show a conflict.

input/Output Range 0374 - 0377 used by:
Secondary IDE controller (dual fifo)
Input/Output Range 0374 - 0377 used by:
VIA Bus Master PCI IDE Controller
this is what is in my resource box after i hit something about manually set. the other box says no conflict.
if i was having a conflict what does this mean.

um i checked out your mb specs and i might be off base here but it shows that the mb has no isa slots anywayz only pci. post a screen shot please.

also what bios you have? link to your mb bios update (http://www.asus.com/products/motherboard/bios_socka.html#a7pro)

Thats the porblem, The board has no isa slots so the I/O read data port for ISA plug and play has a conflict and cant get rid of it. Its driving me crazy

I have been using the A7V since it first came out. It now has sp2 loaded. No problems. no confilcts. stable as a rock.
