I'm currently looking to upgrade my copmuter to an Athlon 1-1.2 GHz (is there a big performance difference between the 200 and the 266 MHz versions?). From all the reviews I've read, the most recommended boards are the Abit, Asus, Iwill and MSI.
What am I looking for? Just bought a 256 megs PC133 SDRAM so I want to be able to reuse it. Also looking to have an onboard RAID controller and a lot of tweaking options in the BIOS.
Which one should I go with?

Doup:
Best board maker around. People are finally recognizing this:

Check out Iwill's Raid board. I o've owned 2 of their non-raid KK266 boards - excellent!
Good luck.

ASUS A7M266, you can read the reviews of this mobo at www.gotapex.com (http://www.gotapex.com) the thread is Darths Deathmatch of DDR motherboards, also www.midnightcafe.com (http://www.midnightcafe.com) has a complete review of this mobo. These are just a couple of many.

Brangwen,
How is the Iwill regarding overclockability? From what I've read, Abit is the best but it seems that a lot of people are having trouble with this board. What about the Epox? I know they make good boards and that the EP-8KTA+ is well regarded.

Go with the Abit kt7A-Raid. You can reuse your ram and it is a great raid board . It also supports 200 and 266 fsb thunderbirds. I have the kt7-Raid(not the a model that supports 266fsb) and it works magnificently.
