I recently upgraded my Duron 700 to a 1000 Tbird. Until I did, this problem did not exist. Here is what is happening...

After the system has sat over night and had time to totally cool off it will not start. No POST, nothing, the fans run and sometimes if I wait long enough, 30sec to 2 minutes, it will start, other times I have to turn it off and on a couple times. Once I get it going I can turn it on and off all day long without a problem. Like i said this problem never surfaced with the Duron. I don't know if this will help but this morning when I started the system it came right on but at POST at the bottom it said something like "an error has occured in the hardware monitor". Anybody out there have a clue as to what i'm talking about.

Nothing is overclocked

Thanks All

Mine did similar things, but then it quit working entirely. Can you return the mainboard to where you bought it?

I might be able to if I can find the reciept. I just can't figure it out, it worked flawlessly with the Duron. I've been trying different things every day but when you only have the startup in the morning to see if what you did makes a difference the troubleshooting process gets old and frustrating very fast.

first thing I would try is reseating every thing, sounds like you have a bad connection some where when the system cools off you lose contact and the system wont boot, let it sit running or resart it and the contacts heat up closing the gap and it works

I had this problem with a system a long time ago finnaly just took it all apart and rebuilt it the problem went away

I dought it's the mobo if it worked fine with the duron
you knocked something lose or the CPU it's self is bad

well i have a new antec case on the way. so i will be pulling this thing all apart. if the problem still exists upon reassembly i'm getting a new board,
