Need to know if my mobo is fried

Just need to know if my mobo is fried? i have completely isolated the soyo mobo from the ATX case(the mobo is actually on my glass table). I have all power connectors attached correctly and have the lights to prove it. I have unhooked all the periferal devices except the ram and when I turn on the power supply I don't hear any beeps any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks in advance

I've been told "if you don't hear <u>any</u> beeps when you power on the system, there is <u>no processing taking place</u> = CPU likely shot. Question: is your PC Speaker cabled to your power supply? I'm guessing one needs a PC Speaker to hear even post beeps. Admittedly, there are many here way more knowledgeable that I that may provide you with a more accurate answer.

PS1: I know this matters on some motherboards: is your CPU fan plugged into the header near it? Some boards won't boot unless it is.

PS2: Is there another CPU you can try on that board or board with that CPU?
