I've heard excellent recommendations about the ATI All In Wonder board. Video card with tuner, video capture, etc. I think it's AGP but there may be a PCI model.

A top Network Video Engineer loves it. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I have the avermedia tv card. It does an excellent job as a tv tuner and will do video capture and conferencing. I would highly recommend it.

I too have heard and read that the ATI All-In-Wonder TV/tuner card is great. I am personally waiting for the ATI All-In-Wonder 128 32MB card to ship later in '99. There is currently a 16MB version. As for which bus is faster? PCI is faster than ISA. PCI is a 32-bit/64-bit bus, running at clock speeds of 33 and 66MHz (133MBps and 500+MBps), whereas ISA is an 8-bit data path (I think).

Furthermore, motherboards nowadays have one ISA or shared ISA/PCI slot available and 4-6 PCI slots available. So, the way to go is PCI. However, if there is an AGP port on your motherboard and you can purchase an AGP version of the TV/tuner card, go for that over PCI!

Hope this helps.

Good luck in your TV tuner card purchase!

Hi,
I have the Hauppauge Win/TV-pci for the last year and is excellent. You get 30fps TV, some digital mopvie producer software worth $100 with it, and a netmeeting video conf driver!
