Firewall ?

What is the easiest and best way to setup a Firewall. Can I do it on a single computer or do I need to setup a network first? Also can anyone suggest a good Firewall program. Just looking for some basic info on Firewalls in general.

It's a great, free firewall. It has gotten some flak about spyware and such, but nothing has come of it.

Edit: Luga, keep your smart ***** answers to yourself. That is a pretty obvious answer. Having used a search engine myself, I know how hard it can be to find a "quick" answer with one.
