Warthog

I don't know if this question has been asked before, so I figured I'd ask it...

I'm really into military airplanes and such (after computers of course). My favorite and most respected plane is the A-10 Thunderbolt II - a.k.a. the Warthog.

I use this name EVERYWHERE online. It's my user name for my email, gaming zone, message boards, etc. If "Warthog" is already chosen I may use: warthog_ii, warthog_2, warthog2, warthog_22 - you get the picture. The "2" or"ii" part is sort of a mix of the original name of the plane, "Thunderbolt II" and "Warthog".

I'm curious as to how you guys chose your UserName for Sysopt. Is it your real name? something that describes you? a hobby (like mine)? or what?

I always use my initials for usernames, it's much easier for people to remember if you tell them an email address for example.

Mine is rather obvious, but I am proud of the effort it took to get that title. This same title and 4 years as deskside support is what landed me at my current job(wan admin)

I've always wanted to know what some of your handles meant, very interesting acually! (read the old posted thread)

Mine came from an old Mickey Mouse adventure comic book when I was a little kid. Mickey, sometimes, had to thwart the mischievous behaviour of the "Phantom Blot"
My family has always been pretty big on "anonymous" practical jokes, (thank's Dad), I carried "The Phantom" into my adult life to terrorize my brother & sisters!!
BWwwwAaaHaHaHa!! (very sinister laughter)

hd581
04-23-2000, 04:15 PM
I looked around my room to find inspiration for a name and saw "hd580" on my headphones. So I typed in 'hd580'. But Sysopt.com said "That's an illegal name" so I typed in 'hd581', and it said "Ok". 'hd580' isn't taken, either.....

????????
