I just bought a barebones system which included an ECS Elitegroup/Amptron K7-810LM motherboard that's got onboard sound/video/modem/lan. I don't mind the sound or the modem or the lan, but I want to install an GeForce 2 MX card in the motherboard's AGP slot. I can't figure out how to shut off the onboard video -- all of the other onboard options can be disabled in the BIOS, but not that (as far as I can tell) -- and/or get it to recognize that there's a card in the expansion slot.
Any thoughts?

If you can't disable the onboard video in the bios then you will have to disable it via a jumper on the board.
Check the boards manual or open the case and there might be a diagram of the board showing where the jumper is to change.

It doesn't disable at all. Plug your AGP card in, and use that as the primary display. Use the SiS 730's internal one as a secondary display, or ignore it.
