I have misplaced retention mechanism for Abit BE6 motherboard that I want to use. Have tried contacting ABIT with no success. Got a Tech Support autoresponder message which was no help. Does anyone know where I can buy the retention mechanism that holds the Slot 1 CPU down?

sorry I don't know where to buy one.

I have had a be6 and bf6 slot one motherboard and have never once used the retention brackets. In my opinion they are really not needed your processor will be fine without them unless you really hit your case hard enough to knock it out

I have a hand full of those worthless retention brackets. I have never used one in any of my systems, and I never intend on using them.
