Uh, anyone else concerned about privacy issues here? It scanned my drives and then "reported the info" to the site.

Maybe because my hard drives are 5400 RPM?

If you're concerned about privacy, you should probably read the site's privacy statement. This one is pretty thorough.

Also, the site lets you run anonymously.

Full disclosure: I'm one of the developers of the site. I can personally testify that privacy is an absolute priority at PC Pitstop.

Well they're obviously going to scan as they have to read from the drive to test it's speed.
By the way I got a 207 with only a celeron400,96megrampc100,2 old 4800rpm drives and a TNT2m64.

FWIW, my best system, a PIII/667, scores 351, and my worst system, a P 150 laptop, has a negative score. The contest winners for fastest/best and slowest/worst machines last month scored 549 and -360.

The scores are kind of handicapped by the number of tips, so that they reflect your configuration as well as your raw speed. That's explained on the page that comes up when you click on your score.

Hey guys...I got 335. My system is a K7 550, 128 megs RAM, Ati Rage 128 32 meg vid card, 10 gig 5400Rpm Maxtor HDD.
