Could someone give me a rundown on the latest MoBo's as far as slot types are concerned? Oldest to newest slot types? Which slot types work best with Microsoft 2000 and MS Office 2000 Pro software.
Thanks.
Thanks.

CPU Sockets Chart (http://users.erols.com/chare/sockets.htm) Someone correct me if I don't get it right... Pentium III's are available in either Slot1 or Socket370 (FC-PGA). New Celerons also fit Socket370. Pentium 4's use a 423-pin socket (Socket423?) AMD Athlons and some AMD Thunderbirds use Slot A, otherwise they use Socket A as do the AMD Durons. I'd choose the processor you want first, then get a mobo that supports it. jhthompson 04-29-2001, 03:02 PM Thanks Fingers. The chart was awesome! What a find! I will be choosing the chip first then the correct MoBo. SysOpt.com
