I read some where on AMD's website that you must use unbuffered memory with their Thunderbird chips. Is this true? I was planing on using 256mb,registered,ECC memory from Crucial on my Iwill KA266-R MB. Would their be a problem with doing this? I have heard that if you use over three stick of DDR memory that it must be registered. AMD's website makes a lot of reference to 133Mhz SDRAM but doesn't say much about DDR. That's the reason that I was wanting to know if I would be OK in using registered memory.
