Prodijee 04-10-2001, 01:53 AM Does anyone have information on how I would customize the picture that comes up on my bios screen.... Any addlt. inofmation would be apprecieative Why/Why not to do this How large/small can this picture be File associations etc. Prodijee 04-14-2001, 12:58 AM I searched but I still cannot find any information on how to get my own picture to come up on the bios screen! Also how would I go about creating/edit my own batch files in order to customize the way my computer boots up? Basically I want to be able to create a menu so that if I wanted to I could play a game and play it straight from dos mode w/ out having to boot into windows. bwkaz 04-14-2001, 06:41 AM I don't know offhand how to change the BIOS screen picture, but if you want to run a game right from DOS mode you can hold down F8 while the computer is booting to get to the Windows 98 Startup Menu (I don't think you can get into DOS mode on ME), then choose Command Prompt Only from the menu. This will run through your Config.sys and Autoexec.bat files and do whatever they say (so if you want, say, a mouse while you're in DOS, go download CTMOUSE.EXE and put a line running that program in your Autoexec.bat file). Then once it boots, change directories to the game directory and run it. Once you're done, exit the game (obviously) and just hit reset. DOS does not need to be shut down (unless you use an MFM or RLL hard drive or similar, then you need to park the heads, but those are OLD standards, and I'm sure yours is IDE). Bryan SysOpt.com
