Amptron PM 9100A

Havea new Bio comming tomorrow. My old hard drive died. 4 gig. bought a larger one. Old bio wanted to break up into many small drives. 9100A board says 4 IDE @ 8.4 gigs. do you think the new dirve wich is 14.8 will be two drives of 8.* each or will I still have problems with a bunch of drives.
