I am trying to put together a computer for a friend out of older parts. I have A pentium 233-mmx to put in this board that was running a pentium 100. Well I put in the p 233 and I cant even get to the BIOS screen. I have set jumpers and stuff but a, very new at this. Does this prov have to run at the 12 volt setting. I trying to run it at 66 x 3.5 and 2.8 volts core voltage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

... and you moved the CPU type jumper from P54C to P55C?

If you forgot to, or if the person who put the P100 into it forgot to set it to P54C mode in the first place, then chances are that the CPU voltage regulator for split-plane CPUs is toast. Yours wouldn't be the first - these boards then still work fine with a single-voltage 3.3V or 3.5V CPU like a classic Pentium, the original Cyrix 6x86, AMD's K5, or a WinChip.

Regards, Peter
