I have been running my ABit SA6R with an 866 MHz PIII for a couple of months now with 256 MB RAM (a pair of 128 MB PC 100 RAM). Because of the huge load that my VR software throws on the system, I decided to take advantage of low memory prices and go up to 512 MB. So I bought a pair of 128 MB PC 133. Put those in RAM slots 0 and 1, and moved the original PC 100 pair to RAM slots 2 and 3. But I am not getting 512 MB. Instead, I'm getting a smidge over 384 MB (391,668 KB), according to POST and System Information in Windows 2000. Plainly, only RAM slots 0 through 3 are being recognized. I looked in the manual but the only explanation I found about adding memory is remarkably opaque, at least to me.

I'd tried swapping the PC 100s with each other, and the PC 133s, with no change.

Suggestions, anyone?
