I'm new at this stuff so can somebody tell me what i have done wrong on mt hdd it is a maxtordiamondmax 40 plus ata 100 40.9 in the controll panel under performance it said that i'mruning under dos instead of 100 or 66.
it is partitioned in to 3 drive 12 gig's 14 gig's and 14gig's are the partitions to big or do I have something else messed up? i had to use the maxblast download to even get it this far. any and all help will be a big one.

It should work without any extra effort.

In the Setup mode, just go to Standard CMOS Features, arrow down to the drive channel and press ENTER twice to recognize the drive. ESC and F10, ENTER to save the setting and restart. After POST it should count the memory and show the drive.

Then the OS should recognize it and transactions should be at 100MB/s (burst).
