Change password

Is there anyway to change a setup password on a compaq prolinea 4/50s without resetting it.

If u r talking about the BIOS password (you must enter it before the machine boots) I believe there is no way to "change it", per se. You must first remove it by either (a) removing the CMOS battery for a minute or (b) installing the jumper that clears CMOS (again for about a minute), then create a new one.
