I have an ECS K7VZA mainboard running a 800mhz t-bird, I noticed yesterday that I can't enter my BIOS, I click delete and get a black screen and a flashing cursor in the upper left. Any ideas?

Hmmm. I'm not familiar with that board. Does the mainboard manual tell you how?... if not, go to their website and see if it is explained there. Be aware that not all bios / boards have the option to get into bios by hitting the delete key on boot. I have an old 486 here that you use ctrl + S to enter bios. On boot, if it has the delete key option to enter bios, it should tell you while it is counting ram...to hit del to enter setup. If this is not present, it probably has another key combo to get in. Many boards hid the key combo to go into bios to keep ppl out that didn't know what they are doing.

It says hit delete, I had no problem getting in in the past, just recently

I will try, if I turned on fast boot it was unintentional. I will try. Thanks

I'm guessing that on a recent visit to your BIOS you either deliberately or unintentionally turned on the "fast boot" option. On some boards, this will make it EXTREMELY hard to get into the BIOS afterwards. Been there, done that! Try just rapidly tapping the DEL key during POST. If I'm right, turn the fast boot off!

Well, it was the fan I added, I removed and all the glitches are gone, thanks to everyone who helped.
