Does anyone have detailed instructs for an I/O voltage mod for same board, or can point me in the direction of same ??
Any help would be very much appreciated as I really want to get my little Cel 566@953 beastie runnin' a little quicker. I can run a short while @ 994MHz. and post at 1054 MHz.
I don't think you mean I/O voltage. That's the 3.3V of the SDRAM and other services. Vcore is what you want to boost, and that can be done in BIOS Setup on the BX6r2.
If you already have done that, then you've found the limit for your 'little cel' which sounds pretty big to me! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

A 566 at 953 sounds pretty quick to me http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Wish mine would do that. BUT... if you feel brave and/or crazy, try this. Get an Abit Slotket III slotket adapter, if you don't already have one. Run the core voltage up as high as it will go in BIOS (I think that's gonna be 1.70 volts). Set the Slotket jumpers for 1.9 volts and put it back in. Before you do anything, flash the BIOS. Then, your default ought to be 1.9 volts, and you can adjust it down or up by 2/10 of a volt from there. Start at 1.7 and work up. I've never had the nerve to go beyond 1.9 myself, and it didn't help anyway. You probably ought to have a Peltier cooler on the thing before you even consider trying this. That may get the little bit extra you're looking for.
Or you may wind up in search of a new Celerey that is that good real soon.....
