I was at a Internet Cafe recently and found out I didn't know how to get to my email. The Cafe PC'sO/S=Win98;emailprog=OE5.0;
ISP=Worldnet
At my home:
My ISP=Compuserve;
email server=POP3(incoming)SMTP(outgoing);
email program=Outlook Express5.0;
O/S=Win98.
I couldn't find a way to log on to compuserve.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance, wolfal

You need to set up a profile in whatever software that PC is using for an email client. Outlook express or Netscape Messenger are usually present if the PC has these browsers installed.

Some public, "common area" PCs may have this is disabled though. If that's the case, you need to speak to whoever is the network administrator is.

Try this website. It let's you get your email from anywhere, and in most cases send mail too. All they ask for is your email address and password.

Don't most ISP's allow you to check mail at there website? I know AOL does, my Bellsouth does I believe, and my local cable provider (prestige.net) does also.Even though I don't enjoy web based email, its still quick and painless if im on the road.

Most isp's do have a web based service from there homepage, but if for some reason they don't(mine doesn't, but I also live in the sticks) you can open a hotmail account(I use it as a spam account and normally just give it out freely when asked for an email account) and they have an option to let you check your pop account through your hotmail account. It's easy setup and as long as you can get to hotmail, you can get to your popmail. Hope this helps. Casey

Go with mailstart. I used this to check my mail from work when my mobo was fried.
