I've finally upgraded to the BE-6 II V2.0, and got it working well except for ONE problem. Every time I boot up, Win ME runs scandisk citing Improper Shutdown Detected, even tho I use the normal Start ==> Shutdown method.

I suspect this is a sympton of using the UDMA 100 controller integrated into the board (HPT 370), so how do I get around this?

Thanks

One workaround is to disable scandisk from running at boot with Microsoft's System Configuration Utility.

1. Start - Run - "msconfig"
2. Click the Advanced button
3. Select Disable Scandisk after bad shutdown

Of course you should run scandisk evry few weeks. Task scheduler provides a good reminder.
