Weldome to SysOpt!

Just what is it you are trying to accomplish?

We'll likely need some information about the system ... CPU? Motherboard?

My onboard keyboard is broke, and I don't have the money for parts.
The external keyboard will only work after cmos batt. is disconnected for a while; then it only works the first time I boot (so I can enter bios setup, load default values, reboot; then it won't work). I'm going to examine bios with some free downloads, and see if I can't put info on floppy boot disk.
The cmos program (that I no longer have) that came with the computer could save cmos configurations to file and load that file. So, I'm looking for program(s) that can edit bios/save configuration/load configuration, without rebooting! I'm working from the library and can't d/l more than 1.38mb at a time.
P.S. TI Travelmate 4000e dx2/50mhz(manu. unknown), bios-Phoenix v1. 3 or 5

That's a very sticky problem. Texas Instruments (T.I.) made the machine but it appears they no longer offer support.

Maybe someone here has what you need, or an idea where to find it. I suggest you start a new thread " T.I. Travelmate 4000e BIOS on floppy? ". Explain the problem again and see what turns up. You also might get help fixing the internal keyboard.
