i hate 56k i need a satillite

l live in shreveport la. we are the second biggest city in la and we dont have dsl or isdn. my brother is moving to dallas, he will get isdn. this does not make me happy. can anyone tell me a were i can get a satallite. im very bitter about the whole thing please exuse me.

Sorry to hear about that. It seems odd to me. Anyways, check out www.direcpc.com (http://www.direcpc.com) they have everything you need as far as info and some prices. Check out www.roxy.com (http://www.roxy.com) for setups. Might as well get Directv with the deal too IMHO. Just me though, I love my DirecTV.

Don't feel too bad...there are places in San Jose, CA (smack in the middle of Silicon Valley) that can't get a high-speed net connection (cable or dsl). Unblievable.

I understand how sensitive DSL is, and how you must be within a certain distance. But, AFAIK that doesn't apply to cable technology. Anywhere there's cable TV there should be cable net access. Don't cha think?

thanks, ive been looking for direcpc's web site for a while but couldnt find it. the cable co told me 2 years ago that they would have isdn in six months for shreveport-bossier but i think they lied. thank for the sympathy.

You think 56K is bad? My modem is 56K and for some reason my neighborhood is the only one with a 28K connection! And most time I can only connect at 26.4!
