If you've got the SP BIOS then you have the latest one. When I bought(Aug99) my BH6 1.2 it had the LG Bios which I soon updated to QM http://www.abit-usa.com/english/index.htm
Latest BIOS:
Filename: BH632SP.EXE
Date: 07/03/2000
ID: SP
NOTE:
Supports the Celeron566(66),600(66),667(66),700(66)MHz CPUs, and PIII 750(100),800(100)MHz,850(100)MHz CPUs.

i have the numbers that are on the energy star screen
W83977 2A69KA1VC NX
i guess its not the latest bios but this was my first mobo change ...flashing would be very intimidating i didnt see a Sp any where on that screen
No need to flash unless you want to change your CPU to one that isn't recognized by your BIOS or you are having problems. I flashed because I was having problems with using Standby and they were fixed in a later BIOS. I used the QM BIOS because it was the most current at the time. There is no need for me to use the latest as the fixes don't apply to me.

i dont seem to be haveing any problems at this time i am useing a PII300@450mhz looks like i can use a PIII600e any way i'd say that would be a fine overclocker.. one other question >as it list in the manual it give external clock /multiplier factors
66MHZ (1/2)N
100MHZ(1/3)N.....and so on then it has some of these
66MHZ(1/2)S
90MHZ(1/3)S..... there are several different variations ,Heres the Question the manual says not to use the (S) frequencys because they aare for EMC (electro magnetic compatibility Tests) can you tell me why i shouldnt use them. looks to me like there may be a settings such as 112(1/3)S i was wanting to use so i could reach 504MHZ i'm now useing 100MHZ(1/3)N but should i be useing 100MHz(1/3)s and i'm useing the AGP/clk at 2/3
there is still a lot of info in the manual i dont understand yet but i am doing alot of research her is how i have my system settings so far
cpu speed -user define
external clock 100MHz(1/3)N
multy clock 4.5
AGP/CLK 2/3
speed hold error disabled
cpu power defalt
Ya the Abit manual loses something in the translation. I had problems with using the S settings and I'm not sure what they do. A P2 is multiplier locked as is a P3 so setting your Multiplier to 4.5 won't do any good. You have to up the FSB if want anymore speed out of the CPU. Go the Start|Run box and type in dxdiag and see what the true frequency is or run Sandra or the Intel Processor Frequency ID Utility or CPUID to see your actual speed. Some P2's and P3's apparently weren't muliplier locked according to the Abit manual. My P3 is locked.

yea Buji i understand that the PII cpu is lockd as far as multypliers go but in the manual it has a (N) or a (S) after the buss speed with (1/2) or (1/3) and also a (1/4)like this
for a buss speed of 100mhz this is the option
66(1/3)
100(1/3)
100(1/2) fallowd by a (s) or a (N)
that is what im trying to figure out

i just bought the board and found the version being 1.2 i've only seen ver.1.0 and ver. 1.1 hum it does have multy up to 8.5 and buss settings at 150 the manual was written back in 1999 it says that you will find a driver for ultra dma 33 ha ha ... so i looked at the drivers and the it has them for ultra 66 .. so do you reckon i have the latest BH6 out i seen a bios flash that supported 850mhz cpu ... but i thought i seen somewhere that this was a remanufacterd board .. any suggestions
