I wish to start looking at LINUX. I currently have Two 4.3GB SCSI drives both partitioned giving me 4 drives of approx 2.1GB each. My primary is WIN98 with the F: as my backups. I would like to install LINUX on the Primary partition of my second drive. I have had a look at Partition Magic but it only seems to support OS2 Windows and NT. Can anyone offer any suggestions

frogpuff - has given you the best place to start looking, and I would highly recommend Caldera Open Linux 2.2, it is especially easy for first timers but no less featured than RedHat 6.0.
However, if you find an old Redhat 5x CD laying around, you may be able to boot from it and use the "disk druid" or Linux's "fdisk" to prepare your partitions. They will be formatted when you install the product.
Welcome to the revolution!

If you have access to Partition Magic 4.0 or a simalar program, shrink one of your partitions so you have unpartitioned space on the drive you are installing to. Makes the install procedure easier and maybe a little safer if you have critical data on your FAT32 partition.
Make sure to RTFM *before* you install. Reading it after you've buggered something up doesn't count. (I figured that out the hard way the first time I installed linux)
