How do you get into the Regristry Editor? I saw my teacher do it and i forgot what he typed in the "Run" window under the Start Menu. It's bugging me i can't remember http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
What is the regristry for and what could be done with it? I've heard a lot about it and i just want to find out a little info on it.
Thanks,

Ermm i'm not sure you wanna be messing with the reg unless you know what your doing, you could do some serious damage to your windows.
But if your sure then goto start/run and type REGEDIT.
BACKUP THE REG BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY CHANGES AND IF THINGS GO WRONG BOOT TO THE DOS PROMPT AND TYPE SCANREG /RESTORE

You could buy a book, but that would cost you a few bucks. Go to the files section of my site: http://home.earthlink.net/~chinmonster and download a utility (well, it's really a Windows Help file) called Registry Helper.
It's got a lot info that'll help walk you through the major/minor things about the registry.
